I’m going to the football (sorry, but I can’t get used to calling it soccer) tonight so I won’t be able to go to the Luke Lambert (www.lukelambertwines.com.au) tasting at Randall’s (www.randalls.net.au) where the man himself will be there to talk through the new releases of the Luke Lambert Syrah and Nebbiolo. I’m disappointed that I’m missing this one as Luke Lambert is producer I rate highly, and readers of Winorama will know that previous releases of both the Syrah and Nebbiolo were very well received. If you’ve nothing better to do it starts at 5.30pm and there are discounts if you buy there or online.
Three posts in one week; this must be a new record.
Be seeing you and Go the Victory.

5-0 what a match, what a result....would have been a good one to see.
I shall be trying the Gippsland "Wild Dog chardonnay" tomorrow that we have kept for 4 years - it was a tad acidic when I first tried it and only bought it because Mrs M held a film festival there at the time and wanted a momento - I don't hold out much hope for it tomorrow - but you never know....
So how was the Wild Dog Chardonnay? Not a producer I know much about...
Didn't open it unfortunately (or fortunately), as the birthday get to together was a bit shambolic, with there being no oppurtunity to open it.....mind you spring is upon us, so I expect the white wines will be making a strong comeback in the coming months....stay tuned....
ps.....you didn't hear it from me that it was "shambolic".....
Oh dear? Mail the star and tell me more (northcoreredstar@gmail.com)
Shambolic from a drinking wine point of view, otherwise it was fine in a typical low key family affair - great cake!
